Synopsis: The story begins wherein a pregnant mother (Cha, Yu-ri) died from an accident but the baby (Jo, Seo-woo), who's still on its 10th month, was saved. The husband (Jo, Kang-hwa) endured a lot of emotional pain and struggled at the same time as a single parent. Eventually, he got remarried to Min-jung, his second wife. Since the accident, Yu-ri had always been beside her daughter and husband, but as a ghost. It has been like that for 5 years, until she came back to life.

Despite being a heavy drama,

there are also light moments that surely made us smile, even laugh.

So here are the top 5 scenes that made us laugh in the series "Hi Bye, Mama":

5.) When Kang-hwa forgot to bring hand warmers for their camping

Despite being constantly reminded by Yu-ri, Kang-hwa still forgot to bring hand warmers for their camping. That made Yu-ri furious. He then tried to calm Yu-ri by offering himself as a human warmer and sang a song so she can fall asleep. Take note, Kang-hwa even blamed it on the series "Reply 1994" as to why they aired the last episode a day before their camping. He said that he needed to know who Na-jeong's husband was.

4.) When Miso's mom sent a message to a wrong group chat

Miso's mom is a gossipmonger. When she learned that Min-jung secretly filed a divorce from Kang-hwa, she eagerly messaged her friends. She later noticed that she sent the message to a wrong group chat (it was sent to all parents of Sunshine class, YES including Min-jung). She panicked and left the group chat. Yu-ri, Min-jung and Hyun-jung (Yu-ri's best friend) have had enough of Miso's mom and her friends for being nosy. All three of them agreed to give those nosy moms a lesson.

3.) When everytime Yu-ri wears her sister's clothes, it always end up getting dirty

(I'm sure every sister can relate to this, even me.)

Before Yu-ri died, she and her sister Yeon-ji always ended up fighting as Yu-ri always wears her sister's clothes. Yeon-Ji previously made it clear that she will rip all of Yu-ri's clothes if she continues to wear hers. Yu-ri freaked out and ended up ripping Yeon-ji's clothes first. This led to a ferocious fight. Now that Yu-ri came back to life, she bought a dress to surprise Yeon-ji. Unexpectedly, Yeon-Ji also bought the exact same dress. They ended up laughing at each other.

2.) When both Kang-Hwa and Eui-Sik got traumatized of eggs

As Yu-ri was about to go home from babysitting Seo-woo, she remembered about the hard-boiled egg. It was a gift from Seo-woo with a drawing on it. And when they went back inside the house, everyone, including Kang-hwa, were surprised. He got so confused from their reactions that he spit the egg out from his mouth. Seo-woo then cried.

On the other hand..

Eui-Sik, a psychiatrist (who is also Kang-hwa's best friend), received backlash after his interview on the recent death of Kang Bin, a famous Baseball player. Kang Bin's raging fans blamed him for his death as he mentioned on the interview that Kang Bin is fine. The fans insist that he wouldn't have committed suicide if he just did the counseling right.

1.) When Eui-Sik can't seem to get the grapefruit chunk out of the cup

This is extremely hilarious. The typical funny Eui-Sik. This topped the list since I laughed so hard at this scene. It started when he and Kang-Hwa were having a serious conversation. While he was talking, Kang-hwa noticed that he struggled in getting the grapefruit chunk out of the cup. When he turned his head as Kang-Hwa was speaking, he suddenly realized that he was doing it all wrong. He was then teased by Kang-Hwa as to how he even got into a medical school but then, he just played along. He immediately changed the topic by mentioning how fresh the fruits were, then teased Kang-Hwa back. Personally, I really admire Eui-Sik's character in this series — a person with great sense of humor. I would also consider this duo as #FriendshipGoals.
